- What's the difference between web hosting and performance hosting?
- Web hosting does the job for most websites. Performance hosting puts heavier hardware underneath, adds caching, Hardened PHP and Imunify360, and our engineers keep an eye on it. You notice the difference on sites that get many visitors at once or serve a lot of images and video.
- Which plan do I need?
- Each plan comes with a fixed amount of processing power and memory for your site alone, plus storage and a number of databases. If your site runs into that ceiling at busy moments it gets slower, and that is the point to move up a size. If you do not know where you stand, call us: we can read it off the server.
- What is Imunify360 and do I really need it?
- Imunify360 scans your site every day for malware, web attacks and vulnerabilities. For a shop that weighs heavily: a hacked site costs you revenue and your position in Google, and your customers get to see it. With performance hosting it is included by default, so you do not have to arrange it separately.
- Does performance hosting work with WooCommerce?
- Yes. The servers are set up for heavy database load and for peaks in traffic, which is exactly what WooCommerce asks of them. The caching, the security and the updates are ours to keep up.
- Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
- Yes, you can move up and down between the three plans. We handle the switch without downtime. If you need more than the largest plan, a VPS or a dedicated server is the next step.
- Do I get free migration from my current hosting?
- Yes, for new customers we move you across at no charge. We do the whole switch, website and email. Ask for it with your order and we will plan it together.
